This is something we have all experienced at some stage. More often than not you feel you are straining your voice just to be heard!
In the acoustic industry this is known as reverberation. In simple terms, this is caused when a space is filled with multiple hard surfaces which rebound sound waves. Typically the hard surfaces we refer to are, painted walls, fixed furnishing i.e. work surfaces and cupboards, tiled or wooden flooring and painted or exposed concrete ceilings.
